I was born the eldest of five children, to a farm family, at Humboldt, Sk.
In 1965, we moved to a larger farm in The Battlefords area. I attended elementary school in Battleford and high school in North Battleford. After farming with my parents for four years, we were forced to sell the farm because of a major health issue which Dad later recovered from. For the following four years, I focused my attention on the construction industry. At that time, I took an opportunity and began a 30 year career as a truck-driver. Most of that time was spent in the long-haul, cross-border industry, specializing in over-dimensional product.
In 2017, I sold my transportation business and SEMI-retired. Since then, I have reacquainted myself with the agricultural industry working for local farmers during spring & fall, along with a summer construction season with the RM of Wilton. After seeing what works and what doesn't in a lot of North American jurisdictions, I feel that I have something positive to offer to my life-long Saskatchewan home. My wife, Kathy, and I were married in 1985, and settled into a home in Maidstone in 1987 and have been there ever since. We have 2 daughters, 1 son-in-law and 2 grandsons. I am excited for the opportunity to serve the people of Lloydminster as your next MLA representing the Buffalo Party of Saskatchewan.
